Your role
Interested in working in finance, specifically to contribute AI research and innovation as part of the UBS’s strategic AI initiatives, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?
We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2025 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Group AI Academia & Research team.
You’ll get to:
- conduct innovative AI research to explore and develop solutions for Generative AI, LLM and machine learning
- work with top AI research scientists
- experiment with new AI techniques and integrate ethical principles into UBS’s financial systems.
Your team
You’ll be working in our AI Academia & Research team. We ensure that cutting-edge AI solutions aligned with UBS’s goals, driving innovation and client value. We’re responsible for developing scalable AI prototypes. Collaborating with academia, and delivering sustainable AI solutions to stay ahead of our peers.
Your expertise
We’re looking for a candidate who:
- has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor’s degree, and graduated no longer than 6 months ago (bachelor’s or master’s degree)
- has familiarity with machine learning concepts, deep learning frameworks, and algorithm development
- is familiar with programming languages such Python and Java
- has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
- has pragmatic personality with good communication skills
- is motivated to work in collaboration with the business
We’re looking for someone who’s curious and wants to thrive in a business that never stops moving. We welcome all majors, but it’s important to have an interest in the financial industry. We want to see what makes you unique and discover what you can bring to our team.

Your program
This paid internship will last 6 months. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You’ll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.
If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you’ve completed your studies.
