Your role
Interested in working in finance, specifically to support business clients, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?
We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2025 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Corporate and Institutional Clients (CIC) business in Switzerland. You’ll get to:
- Be actively involved in the day-to-day structuring and execution of complex acquisition financing transactions, bringing you in frequent contact with various internal and external stakeholders of UBS Corporate Finance Switzerland.
- Support the teams with transaction due diligence and business model analysis, drafting of credit applications, and UBS’s internal transaction financing credit approval process.
- Collaborate with other team members to build and assess financial models against the background of the envisaged transactions.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of client meetings, financing pitches and other conceptual topics of Structured Finance SME.
- Assist in drafting term sheets and negotiating credit agreements.
Your team
You’ll be working in our Structured Finance SME team, which is the leading provider of complex and tailored transaction financing for Swiss SME (small and mid- sized enterprises), entrepreneurs and financial sponsors (private equity and family offices). SF SME acts as sparing partner for the client during the whole transaction with comprehensive project support.
Your expertise
We’re looking for a candidate who:
- has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor’s degree, or graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor’s or master’s degree)
- has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system
- has strong analytical skills, is quick to grasp the bigger picture
- has excellent interpersonal skills and proven reliability
- has good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- has a keen interest in financial markets and is attentive to news and regulatory, geopolitical or other changes that can influence our transactions
- is fluent in English and German (fluency in French would be an advantage)

Your program
This paid internship will last six months. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You’ll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.
If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you’ve completed your studies.
