Your role

Interested in working in finance, specifically as a wealth management professional serving clients, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint that consistently ranks among the world’s top financial institutions?

We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2025 Off-cycle Internship Program within our Global Wealth Management business.

You’ll get to:

• supervise the ‘UBS Compensation Survey’ by conducting surveys of companies, analyzing the survey result and communicating the findings through publications and presentations
• assess the current developments of the Swiss economy and its implications for financial markets
• support the team with data collection and documentation for research projects
• collaborate with different teams on strategic projects with a goal of improving our client experience and driving engagement

Your team

You’ll be working in our Global Wealth Management team in Zurich. We provide advice-based solutions to deliver products and services designed to address the needs of ultra-high net worth and high-net worth individuals and families. We’ve successfully built the number one wealth management franchise in the world. You’ll work with the best talent in the industry, as we help manage, preserve and grow the wealth of our clients.

The Macro & Strategy Research team is part of the Chief Investment Office, a key part of UBS GWM, dedicated to providing advice to private wealth clients. The team is responsible for UBS’ view of the Swiss economy and its implications for financial markets and also communicates the research views to internal and external clients through publications, presentations, and media appearances.

Your expertise

We’re looking for a candidate who:

• has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor’s degree, and graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor’s or master’s degree)
• is a team player with a structured work approach and confident, independent working skills
• is motivated to work in an environment with high standards of quality
• is interested in economics, financial markets, numbers, and models
• has experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• has excellent command of German (written and oral), good knowledge of English and basic knowledge of French

Your program

This paid internship will last 6 months, with a potential 3-month extension. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You’ll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.

If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you’ve completed your studies.
