Event-Informationen
About the event
In response to the European Union’s ambitious goals for a sustainable economy, the regulatory landscape for circular economy is evolving rapidly. Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) has emerged as a key mechanism in this transformation, directly impacting businesses and products across various sectors.
Our webcast series will familiarise you with the Extended Producer Responsibility rules and how it impacts your business. It will unveil how EPR matters to every function – from R&D, sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, distribution, marketing, and sales, as well as legal, compliance, finance & tax.
In the first section, we have discussed EPR as a mandatory regulatory tool to improve circularity of materials and enhance waste management practices. We have also explored a case study to illustrate the challenges of meeting the different EPR requirements in different locations.
In the second section, we will delve deeper on how EPR impacts a company’s entire value chain and how companies are taking the opportunity to find competitive advantages while complying with EPR rules. We will focus on the EPR rules for packaging and highlight cases in the consumer markets sector where packaging plays a significant role.
Please join us for the second session on "EPR: How does it impact your value chain?” on Thursday, 30 May 2024 from 10.30 to 11.15am CET.
