  • Study and prepare for exams: Use the free time to prepare for your next exams, as they are coming up soon! You can go through course materials, create summaries or solve exercises. This allows you to prepare efficiently for the upcoming exams and the next semester.

  • Project work: If you are working on a longer project, such as a Bachelor's or Master's thesis, you can use the Christmas period to work intensively on the topic. Take advantage of the peace and quiet and the less distracting environment to concentrate fully on your work.

  • Find an internship: If you are looking for an internship for the coming year, the Christmas period could be a good opportunity to prepare your application documents and look for possible internships. Many companies plan in advance, so it makes sense to start your search early. If you need help with your application documents, the Career Starter will be happy to help you in the "Application" section.

  • Volunteering: Christmas is also a time for giving and charity. Get involved in charitable organisations or aid projects in your area. For example, you could help in soup kitchens, take part in charity events or take part in fundraising campaigns. It's a great way to help others and gain valuable experience at the same time.

But don't forget: the Christmas period is also an opportunity to relax and spend time with the people who are important to you. Use the time to recover from the rigours of studying, celebrate with your family and meet up with friends. A good balance between work and relaxation is the key to a successful start to the new year!
